Oak Forest Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They took down the Oak Hall Eagles 57-43. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked tenth in Louisiana, while the Eagles are ranked 672nd in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oak Forest Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Oak Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Oak Forest Academy will take on Brookhaven Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Hall, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Trenton at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
