Basketball Recap: Liberty Sets Scoring Season-High Against Rim of the World

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty). Everything went their way against the Rim of the World Fighting Scots on Tuesday as the Liberty Bison made off with a 53-32 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bison with their most commanding win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malaya Baker, who posted eight points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kelli Harris-Wellman, who put up eight points and four steals.

Rim of the World lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Dever, who had 13 points. That was a full 40.6% of Rim of the World's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Bundra, who earned ten points.

Liberty now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Rim of the World, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-14 defeat against Ramona on the 12th. As for Rim of the World, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-27 loss against Montclair on the 4th.
