Volleyball Recap: Hoover Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

While Hoover didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Hanford Bullpups by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Patriots were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bullpups, so the Patriots were just returning the favor.

Hoover easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-21.

Avery Roberson paced Hoover's offense, picking up nine kills. Roberson got some help from Alejandra Espino and her 12 assists. Roberson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Hoover is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Hanford, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Hoover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Redwood on the 30th. As for Hanford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against El Diamante on the 2nd.
