Weed and Hamilton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Weed had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Braves by a score of 7-5. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Weed saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Keen, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Braeden Cordes was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Weed's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Hamilton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-9.

Weed does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamilton, they are taking a road trip to face off against Etna at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Braves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
