When it comes to explaining why Moore Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brianna Caliri. Despite the final result, she scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. Caliri scored a full 38.6% of Moore Catholic's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Allie Felci was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Moore Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Union City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Moore Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Joseph Hill Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (St. Joseph Hill Academy is ranked 45th, while Moore Catholic is ranked 35th). As for Union City, they will head out on the road to face off against Gill St. Bernard's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
