Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montgomery). They breezed past the Huntsville Hornets to the tune of 54-20 on Friday. With the Bears ahead 28-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Jack Merryman threw for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Keldrid Ben was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Huntsville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zarien Adolphe threw for 229 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes. Landon Fisher also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards.
