The Argonaut Mustangs will challenge the Amador Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Argonaut hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.
Argonaut took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Rosemont, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Woverines a 2-0 shutout on Friday.

Not much got past Grady Nash, who gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks to keep Rosemont off the board. Nash has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Argonaut's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Swensen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
Amador came out on top against El Dorado on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Buffaloes were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Cougars. The result was nothing new for the Buffaloes, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Dominic Fillmore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Fillmore was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brad Blankenheim, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Sam Baker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Amador lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Amador has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5-1 record this season. As for Argonaut, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Argonaut got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Amador by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
