Make it nine blowout wins for the Liberty Lions this season. They blew past Deer Valley 72-18 at home on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Liberty sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Liberty had a senior duo take command as Madison Perea dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds and Lea Salinas beamen dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Perea hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aly Acosta, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Liberty has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Deer Valley, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Liberty will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Pittsburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 694th, while the Lions are ranked 183rd). As for Deer Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
