The Rockwood Rockets will head out on the road to take on the North Star Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rockwood will be strutting in after a victory while the Cougars will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Rockwood beat the Red Raiders 53-45.
Meanwhile, North Star's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They fell to Meyersdale 37-33.
Rockwood's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for North Star, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
Everything went Rockwood's way against the Cougars when the teams last played back in January as the Rockets made off with a 71-49 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rockwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
