After two games on the road, Las Lomas is heading back home. They will take on the Concord Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Concord took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Las Lomas, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Las Lomas' game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Clayton Valley Charter by a score of 3-1.
Las Lomas was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Paige Thompson and
Kyleigh Sekulich, who scored all three of Las Lomas' goals. The pair have combined for a total of 28 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Concord fell victim to Berean Christian's stalwart defense on Tuesday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were the victim of a tough 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. Concord has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Las Lomas is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-1-4 record this season. As for Concord, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13-1 record this season.
Las Lomas was able to grind out a solid victory over Concord in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, winning 2-0. Does Las Lomas have another victory up their sleeve, or will Concord turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
