Central extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping them up to 12-5. They blew past the Newnan Cougars 11-1. Considering the Lions have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Newnan, they now have a losing record of 9-10. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Newnan's part, Khloe Walker was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Central and Newnan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Lions will take on Heard County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (21 vs. 122). The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Central 3.1, the Braves 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Newnan (ranked 194th) will meet Morrow (ranked 404th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
