Baseball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pinecrest Academy strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 14-8 margin over The King's Academy Knights. This was payback for the Paladins, who suffered a 33-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lucas Miles made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Miles was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Liam McCavitt was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Proctor, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Pinecrest Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The King's Academy only posted an OBP of .333.

Pinecrest Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for The King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinecrest Academy will host Tallulah Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for The King's Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
