The Saint Mary's Panthers will take on the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Saint Mary's is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over Hercules on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won six in a row.

Brandon Sanchez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jed Volpe was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Nico Pilara was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Saint Mary's hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They never let Archbishop Mitty get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory also got a great performance from Jacob Vines as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched. Vines also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rohan Kahns, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Evan Liu, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Saint Mary's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-5.
