The Marshall Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 25 points or more this season. They breezed by Arroyo at home to the tune of 54-18. Winning may never get old, but Marshall sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Marshall's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Destiny Ihiaso, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Ihiaso's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlan Sakuma, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Marshall has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Arroyo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
