Laguna Beach put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Irvine Vaqueros a 4-0 shutout. While the Breakers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Becker Sybirski was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Sybirski wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lucien Reed, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Parker Moore also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
