Baseball Recap: Bradshaw Christian Wins Going Away Against Burbank

It's playoff time, and Bradshaw Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Burbank Titans on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-1 victory. Considering the Pride have won 19 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ethan Quach made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Quach was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Landon Carter was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Evan Rickert was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Bradshaw Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bradshaw Christian's win bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Burbank, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-12.

Looking ahead, Bradshaw Christian will square off against Casa Roble at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Pride surely won't give up without a fight. Burbank does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
