Centennial has gone 8-2 against Garces Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Golden Hawks will head out to challenge the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, it was close, but Centennial sidestepped Ridgeview for a 3-2 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Hawks have posted against the Wolf Pack since May 20, 2021.

Ross Rocha tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Tanner Parsons was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one double. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Taylor, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Garces Memorial). They blew past Arvin 17-0 on Friday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.
Samuel Gonzalez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Gonzalez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Jett Lewis was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Lorenzo Negrete was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Garces Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arvin only posted an OBP of .176.
Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Garces Memorial, their record is now 9-2.
Centennial came out on top in a nail-biter against Garces Memorial when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
