The San Bernardino Cardinals were the 44-26 winner over the Jurupa Valley Jaguars when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. San Bernardino was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 31-30 to Jurupa Valley. San Bernardino has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, San Bernardino had strong showings from Rihanna Scott, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and two steals, and Laniah Porter, who scored four points along with nine rebounds. Scott hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games.
San Bernardino's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Jurupa Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-18.
San Bernardino will be playing at home against Rubidoux at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Rubidoux is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Jurupa Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Indian Springs at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Indian Springs will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
