Northwest extended their winning streak to eight on Monday, bumping them up to 10-2. They put the hurt on the Kearney Catholic Stars with a sharp 17-2 win. Considering the Vikings have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Libby Loman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
