The Silverado Skyhawks can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They took down Spring Valley 72-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Silverado had a senior duo take command as Cyril Franklin almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds and Carlos Bradley scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kayden Goss, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Spring Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Angelo Imperial, who scored seven points along with five assists and three steals, and Jamo Mccall who scored 17 points. Imperial hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordon Cosby, who scored ten points.
Spring Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Silverado pulled down 18 offensive rebounds.
Silverado's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Spring Valley, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Silverado will head out on the road to challenge the Trailblazers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Durango is on a six-game streak of home losses, the Skyhawks a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Spring Valley will take on the Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Centennial is ranked 16th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 35th).
