They came out on top against Tri-Valley by a score of 37-28. Given Williams Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 650th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Tri-Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cassie Huntzinger. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points. Avery Miller was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Williams Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Tri-Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
