The Kennard-Dale Rams will head out on the road to face off against the York County Tech Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kennard-Dale is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Kennard-Dale suffered a rough 59-37 loss at the hands of the Bobcats. While losing is never fun, Kennard-Dale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Bobcats are ranked 50th).
Meanwhile, York County Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were the victim of a tough 52-29 loss at the hands of Fairfield.
Despite their loss, York County Tech saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Meaza Hower, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. It was the first time this season that Hower pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Kennard-Dale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for York County Tech, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Kennard-Dale beat the Spartans 45-36 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was York County Tech's Rhlyn Rouse, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 20 rebounds. Now that she won't be playing on Monday, will it be that much easier for Kennard-Dale to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
