Ramona entered their tilt with Canyon Crest Academy on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Ravens. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matches by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Justin Jarrett made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Blake Hollopeter and Derek Taylor did most of the damage at the plate: Hollopeter went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Taylor went 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Hollopeter a new career-high. Cal Melendez was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Ramona always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon Crest Academy only posted an OBP of .290.

Ramona's record now sits at 15-7. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-15-1.

Coming up, Ramona will face off against San Dieguito Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chula Vista at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans are coming into the contest with three straight wins on the road, so the Ravens will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
