Even though Forbes Road have not done well against the McConnellsburg Spartans recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Forbes Road enjoyed a cozy 40-24 win over McConnellsburg. The win was nothing new for Forbes Road as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forbes Road to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Small, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Katie Hess, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Forbes Road now has a winning record of 5-4. As for McConnellsburg, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forbes Road is on the road again on Thursday and play against Southern Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for McConnellsburg, they will square off against Fannett Metal at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
