Grace is 7-2 against Foothill Tech since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lancers will take on the Dragons at 4:00 p.m. Grace is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Grace is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Hueneme, falling 12-4.

Alex Van was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Grace: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4-2 otherwise. Gavin Willis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Foothill Tech ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Grace.
Drayden Belitski looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Aiden Gomez was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Casey, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases.
Grace's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Foothill Tech, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.
Foothill Tech's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Grace has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Foothill Tech, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will Grace keep running through batters, or will the Dragons buck the trend?
Grace couldn't quite finish off Foothill Tech in their previous matchup on Monday and fell 6-4. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
