The Watsonville Wildcatz won the last time they faced the Soledad Aztecs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Watsonville came out on top against Soledad by a score of 42-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Watsonville.
Fernanda Lazo was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isabella Love, who scored nine points.
Watsonville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Soledad, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-3.
Watsonville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coronado on December 28th. As for Soledad, they will head out on the road to face off against North Salinas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Salinas comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
