The Coastal Academy Stingrays will be playing at home against the Guajome Park Academy Frogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.
Last Tuesday, Coastal Academy was the victim of a rough 48-23 defeat at the hands of Escondido Adventist Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Coastal Academy in their matchups with Escondido Adventist Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from London Afalava, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds and two steals. Afalava is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Emily Enger was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, sadly, Guajome Park Academy is still looking for their first win of the season after 18 contests. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 1-0 to Del Lago Academy.
