Firebaugh is 0-10 against Norwalk since May of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Falcons will head out to face off against the Lancers at 3:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Firebaugh not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 28th (when they won 18-2). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Dominguez a 6-0 shutout. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Kevin Heraldez
04/25/25 vs Dominguez | 1 |
03/25/25 vs Lynwood | 1 |
The result came thanks to Kevin Heraldez's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Firebaugh is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Andrew Flores was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Nathan Reyes was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Norwalk and Lynwood, and Norwalk kept the tradition alive. The Lancers blew past the Knights 12-0 on Friday. Considering the Lancers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
David Ibarra looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Israel Molina, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Marcus Castillo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.
Norwalk lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Norwalk's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Firebaugh, their record is now 5-7.
Firebaugh came up short against Norwalk in their previous meeting back in March, falling 4-1. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
