The Novato Hornets will face off against the Sonoma Valley Dragons at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Novato is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Novato came out on top against Marin Catholic on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Hornets have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Griffin Vorhaus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
