The Apostles Lutheran Falcons can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Granada Islamic School and snuck past 25-22. Apostles Lutheran's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Apostles Lutheran had a senior duo take command as Aniela Falzarano dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds and Bella Calderon scored six points along with 21 rebounds and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Falzarano has scored at least a third of Apostles Lutheran's points.
Apostles Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
Apostles Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granada Islamic School, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cindy Avitia at 10:00 a.m. on February 10th. Cindy Avitia has insisted on making their lastfive contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-5 during that stretch of close contests.
