The Franklin Knights had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They breezed by Cranberry Area on the road to the tune of 51-15. The result was nothing new for Franklin, who have now won three matches by 26 points or more so far this season.
Katie Boal continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Jennifer Blum was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Franklin pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cranberry Area, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Harbor Creek on December 28, 2023. As for Cranberry Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Keystone at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
