North Murray is a perfect 6-0 against Rockmart since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The North Murray Mountaineers will square off against the Rockmart Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

North Murray is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Dalton Academy last Thursday. North Murray fell just short of Dalton Academy by a score of 1-0. The Mountaineers haven't had much luck with the Pumas recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Rockmart came up short against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on Friday, falling 7-3. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Yellowjackets were already down 5-1.

Riley Gober and Ezra Robillard scored all three of Rockmart's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Rockmart and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for North Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

North Murray took their win against Rockmart when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Murray since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
