There were no changes in the top nine spots, and then there was some movement due to upsets.
The North Coast Section has four of the top five teams in these rankings with Folsom representing the Sac-Joaquin Section at No. 2.

Henry To'oto'o scored touchdowns. Earlier wins over ranked foes include Folsom 14-0 and Central Catholic 35-7. De La Salle extended its unbeaten streak against Northern California teams north of Fresno to 293, dating back to 1992. The Spartans are a remarkable 376-5-2 against NorCal teams since 1984 and 444-25-3 overall since 1982 with 26 consecutive NCS titles and 30 since 1981 with a record 12 consecutive CIF State title-game appearances.

Update: The Bulldogs rolled Antelope 41-0, scoring all of their points in the first half before pulling starters.
Kaiden Bennett completed 17-of-18 passes for 450 yards and five touchdowns, two to
Joe Ngata. The loss was 14-0 to De La Salle. Folsom is 115-10 this decade with six section and three CIF State title teams (and two 14-1 teams that lost to De La Salle in the 2012 and 2013 NorCal Open finals, since dropped).

Update: The Ugly Eagles posted their second successive shutout, downing Concord 48-0 as
Logan Sumter tossed four touchdowns, two to
Rayshawn Jackson. The opening win was over then-No. 3 Pittsburg 38-31. The Ugly Eagles have emerged as a power of late, going 12-1 in 2008, 12-2 in 2012, 11-2 in 2013, 15-1 in 2015 and 13-2 in 2016.
4. (4) Liberty (Brentwood), 3-0Section: North Coast
League: Bay Valley

Update: The Lions beat McClymonds 42-14 as
Jay Butterfield passed for 224 yards and four touchdowns. Liberty is coming off of its first NCS championship in program history.
5. (5) Pittsburg, 1-2Section: North Coast
League: Bay Valley

Update: The Pirates lost to state powerhouse Centennial 35-7, allowing 410 yards passing. The other loss was to Clayton Valley Charter 38-31 in double overtime. Pittsburg lost to De La Salle in the NCS finals last season, beat Granite Bay in a NorCal final and nearly won the CIF State Division I title. Pitt is the last NorCal team to beat De La Salle, in the 1991 NCS finals.

Update: The Padres beat Elk Grove 41-17, scoring twice on defense, twice on special teams and twice from quarterback
Luke Bottari. The loss was to Serra of Gardena 41-22 in an Honor Bowl showcase after opening with a bye. Last season, Serra won the WCAL, CCS, NorCal and CIF State titles.
7. (7) Saint Francis (Mountain View), 2-0Section: Central Coast
League: West Catholic Athletic

Update: The Lancers beat Oak Grove 35-7 behind leading rusher
Andre Bishop to set up a showdown against De La Salle. Saint Francis is the defending CIF State Division I-A champion. This program has won 17 section titles.

League: Sierra Foothill

Update: The Trojans beat Reed of Nevada 42-13 as
Matt Jenner tossed three touchdown passes and running backs
Nathan Addleman and
Mitchell Anderson combined to rush for 186 yards. The Trojans have won four section Division II titles since 1998 and reached the D-I finals twice since 2012.

Update: The Golden Eagles beat Windsor in allowing just 114 yards, and
Johnny Guzman electrified with more game-breaking touchdowns as a receiver and return specialist. Del Oro reached a section final for the 18th time last season, having won five since 2005. Eighteen starters return for another run.
10. (11) Placer (Auburn), 3-0Section: Sac-Joaquin
League: Foothill Valley
Coach: Joey Montoya
Next: vs. Vista del Lago
Update: The Hillmen beat Bishop Monogue of Nevada 69-40 as
Hans Grassman rushed for 309 yards and five touchdowns and
Brad Bishop went for 148. Seventeen starters are back from a CIF state finalist. This was a state-wide power in the 1970s.
11. (14) Menlo-Atherton (Atherton), 2-0Section: Central Coast
League: Peninsula
Coach: Adhir Ravipati
Next: vs. Palma
Update: The Bears beat Mitty 28-21 after beating Bellarmine earlier.
Justin Anderson accounted for three touchdowns. Menlo-Atherton reached the CIF 3-AA title game two years ago.
12. (15) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose), 1-1Section: Central Coast
League: West Catholic Athletic

Update: The Monarchs lost to Menlo-Atherton 28-21, a very decent showing against a powerhouse program. Mitty went 9-1-1 in 2009 and 11-2 in 2013.

Update: The Chargers beat San Benito 37-6 as
Alex Adame passed for 180 yards and a touchdown and and ran for two. Wilcox has made the playoffs nine of the past 10 seasons.

Update: The Warriors beat Pleasant Valley of Chico 27-14 as
Cory Taylor tossed a touchdown pass and
Michael Corini rushed for 121 yards and a score. The loss was 10-6 to Wilcox. Valley Christian went 12-1 in 2004, 12-1 in 2005, 11-2 in 2010 and 13-2 in 2016.

Update: The Raiders beat rival St. Mary's 33-20 as
Kyle Jacklich rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns in the annual Holy Bowl. The loss was to De La Salle 35-7 after trailing by just 14 in the third quarter. Coach Canepa won CIF state titles here in 2012, 2013 and 2015.

Update: The Mustangs are rolling behind the veer run game, great offensive line play and a strong defense. The last win was 47-16 over Spanish Springs of Nevada as
Jehiel Budgett rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns and
Viktor Oliver went for 203 and two. Monterey Trail has twice reached Section Divison I title games.

League: Bay Valley

Update: The Falcons lost to California 42-27, trailing 21-6 at the half. The Falcons went 10-2 in 2011, 11-2 in 2016 and 9-3 in 2017.

Update: The Cardinals were idle. This has been a powerhouse program since the 1970s, when the Cardinals once held the state record for consecutive wins at 47.

Update: The Cougars beat St. Ignatius 34-21 as
Grant Harper passed for 281 yards and four touchdowns, two to
Lucas Allen. They beat previously ranked Marin Catholic 35-21 in an opener as Harper passed for 366 yards and five touchdowns. Campolindo won state titles in 2014 and 2016.
