The Franklin Knights lost against the Conneaut Area Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Franklin took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conneaut Area. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Franklin in their matchups with Conneaut Area: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Franklin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Katie Boal. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Boal is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jennifer Blum, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Conneaut Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Oil City the next time they take the court. Franklin will head out to face Oil City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Conneaut Area will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
