Despite the loss, Beaumont United still got an impressive performance from Kayde Dotson, who scored 24 points along with five assists and two steals. Dotson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Davis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Beaumont United's defeat ended a 15-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-2. As for Atascocita, their win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-3.
Beaumont United will head out on the road to face off against King at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Atascocita, they will play host again and welcome Humble, where tip off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Humble has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.
