The Tri County Area Vikings will venture away from home to  square off against the Sparta Spartans  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Tri County Area has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Tri County Area came up short against Newaygo  and fell  58-51. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Cole Plotts, who  posted ten  points along with six  assists and five  boards. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  steals (five).  Jason Guerra was another key player,  putting up ten points and five  rebounds.
 Plotts wasn't the only one working in the  assists department: Tri County Area was working as a unit and  finished the game with 13  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Sparta came up short against  DeWitt on Friday, falling  70-46. The  game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 This is the second loss in a row for Sparta and  nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Tri County Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Tri County Area ended up a good deal behind  Sparta when the teams last played  back in November of 2018, losing  62-43. Can Tri County Area avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
