While losing is never fun, Washington Union can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 998th, while Reedley is ranked 417th).
Despite the loss, Washington Union saw an underclassman step up: Jade Holland scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Unique Hill, who scored eight points.
Washington Union has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Reedley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Washington Union will head out on the road to face off against Kerman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reedley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
