The Meyersdale Red Raiders won against the North Star Cougars last Thursday with 37 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Meyersdale managed a 37-33 victory over the Cougars. The win made it back-to-back wins for Meyersdale.
Meyersdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maci Moore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Moore has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Laurel Daniels was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meyersdale's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for North Star, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meyersdale will take on the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Star, they will be playing at home against the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
