The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the East Juniata Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Upper Dauphin Area has four straight wins, East Juniata has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Upper Dauphin Area stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They put the hurt on Greenwood with a sharp 49-29 victory. That's two games straight that Upper Dauphin Area has won by exactly 20 points.
Upper Dauphin Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mazie Bingaman, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Reagan Wentzel, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Juniata had to suffer through a rough 51-22 loss at the hands of Millersburg. While losing is never fun, East Juniata can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while Millersburg is ranked 204th).
Upper Dauphin Area has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for East Juniata, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Upper Dauphin Area against East Juniata when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 51-5 win. With Upper Dauphin Area ahead 32-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
