Turner County is 0-7 against Brooks County since August of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Titans will head out to face off against the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Brooks County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Turner County, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Turner County turned things around against Monroe on Monday. They came out on top against the Golden Tornadoes by a score of 9-5.
Madison McRae spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Janiyah Smith and Aalunah Edwards did most of the damage at the plate: Smith went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Edwards went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those two hits gave Smith a new career-high. Azaria McKinney was another key player, earning three runs and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Brooks County's offense. They lost 14-0 to Clinch County on Monday. The Trojans have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Brooks County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoey White, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Brooks County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Turner County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-18.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Turner County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Brooks County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Turner County might still be hurting after the 17-1 loss they got from Brooks County when the teams last played on September 4th. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
