The St. Joseph Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 25 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 58-9 blowout they got on the road against Hillel Academy. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory St. Joseph has managed all season.
Anna Kreinbrook was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine blocks. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Gia Richter, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
St. Joseph is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Hillel Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
St. Joseph will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Jeannette at 7:30 p.m. Jeannette is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Hillel Academy, they will square off against Riverview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverview is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
