San Marcos has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Point Loma on Wednesday as San Marcos made off with a 51-29 victory. The score was close at the half, but San Marcos pulled away in the second half with 32 points.
San Marcos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Wiedemann, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wiedemann pulled down eight or more rebounds. Gabriella Randolph was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Peninsula waltzed into their game two weeks ago with two straight wins but they left with three. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 62-17 win over Wiseburn- Da Vinci.
San Marcos is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Peninsula, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7.
