The Faribault defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match. The win bumped Faribault's record up to 2-4. Red Wing are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Next week Faribault take on Mankato West at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games. Red Wing will look to defend their home turf against Winona at 7:00 PM.
