Matt Maxon made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Carmel is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Maxon was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
