Ryan Powers made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Redlands Adventist Academy's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 5-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Powers was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Redlands Adventist Academy got a massive performance out of Brady Anderson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Pablo Millice was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
