Westborough took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 66-56 victory over Fitchburg.
Meanwhile, Douglas had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Blackstone Valley RVT on Monday as Douglas made off with a 59-37 win.
Adam Dunphy was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Gray, who scored 11 points.
Westborough's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Douglas, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
