Baseball Recap: Sutter Has No Trouble Against Rio Linda

Sutter barely beat Rio Linda the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 7-1 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Mason McCall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carson Bishop was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Landyn Singh, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Sutter and bumps their season record up to 14-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Rio Linda, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.

Sutter will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
