Carson extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 17-1. They enjoyed a cozy 72-55 win over the Concord Spiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-56 back in December of 2025.
As for Concord, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Carson is ranked 42nd).
Concord lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jayden Beyan, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Taheer Jackson, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals.
