The Renaissance Academy Knights came tearing into Wednesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Bristol at home to the tune of 53-25. This was payback for Renaissance Academy, who suffered a 50-32 loss the last time these two teams met.
Renaissance Academy was led to victory by Dallis Stewart and Saydi Daye. Stewart scored 17 points along with eight steals, while Daye dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals. Stewart is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Aniyah Jones was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Renaissance Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Bristol, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Renaissance Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delaware County Christian is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. Bristol does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
