After flying high against the Baldwin Park Braves last Thursday, the Ontario Jaguars came back down to earth. Ontario was the victim of a rough 46-25 defeat at the hands of Montclair on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ontario has scored all season.
Ontario's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Albany Ramirez, who scored four points along with four blocks and two steals, and Hailey McDow who scored nine points along with three steals. McDow is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
Ontario's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Montclair, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ontario will take on Chino at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chino presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ontario in California (Chino is ranked 101st, while Ontario is ranked 604th). As for Montclair, they will be playing at home against Baldwin Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
